EXCERPTS
FROM THE BY-LAWS OF SAN FRANCISCO CHINESE GOLF CLUB
ARTICLE I. MEMBERSHIP
Section 1: Application for membership shall be
considered in the following manner by the Membership Committee:
1. Members shall be apprised of all new applications by mail. Such applications
shall not be acted upon for a period of (1) calendar month.
4. The Membership Committee shall meet on the last Friday of each and every months
to pass upon all applications unless none such are pending.
Section 2: The Membership Committee shall bear in mind that at all times the ratio
between playing and non-playing members shall be approximately four (4) to (1).
ARTICLE II- DURATION OF MEMBERSHIP
How terminated:
(a) For cause: For a reason or grounds brought to the attention of membership by
the Executive Board or any member in good standing and after an opportunity to be
hear and by a two-thirds (2/3) vote by the ballot of the members present at any
regular meeting or special meeting called for such purpose.
(b) For non-payment of dues, etc.
(c) Resignation: The resignation of any member from this club shall be in writing,
address to the President or Secretary, and shall be accepted by the Executive Board
provided that all indebtedness of said member to the Club has been paid.
STANDING RULES
WHEREAS, membership is closed and is restricted
to the present one hundred eleven (111) members as of October 28, 1983. Former members
who had left the Club in good standing, must request for reinstatement in writing
to the Executive Board; upon approval, the former member will be placed on the waiting
list with the new member applicants. Initiation fee and sponsorship will be waived
